Crosswinds Boulevard

Crosswinds Boulevard, located east of Blue Mountain Village, is scheduled to open as a public roadway in Summer 2026.

While nearby residential development was underway, Crosswinds Boulevard was open at both ends, with a temporary barrier in place between Springside Crescent and Courtland Street to prevent through traffic. Now that the related development work is complete and the road was formally assumed by the Town in November 2025, that barrier will be removed and the road will open as originally planned.

Opening Crosswinds Boulevard is required to improve connectivity in the area and support more direct access for residents, emergency services, and Town operations such as maintenance and service delivery.

To support the opening, the Town will carry out an operational monitoring plan focused on traffic conditions, vehicle and pedestrian safety, and any follow-up measures that may be needed.

About Crosswinds Boulevard

Crosswinds Boulevard is a municipal road located east of Blue Mountain Village that travels through the Windfall and Second Nature communities. The roadway was formally assumed by the Town in November 2025 under Town By-law 2025-69 and is scheduled to open as a public roadway in Summer 2026.

Crosswinds Boulevard was designed as an arterial/collector road to support the movement of vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians through the community while maintaining access for emergency services and municipal operations. The roadway includes a 37-metre-wide right-of-way with cycling lanes, a 3-metre multi-use trail, sidewalks, and enhanced road infrastructure to support long-term connectivity and growth in the area.
