IT Computer Technician
4-Month Contract (35 hours/week)
Finance & IT Department

The Town of The Blue Mountains is a growing and progressive, four-season community with stunning natural features, including the Niagara Escarpment, Beaver Valley and the Georgian Bay shoreline, accompanied by the various recreational activities and experiences they afford. We are seeking to fill a new 4-month contract position from April 2, 2018 to July 27, 2018 of IT Computer Technician in our Finance & IT Department.

Position Overview:
In this position the IT Computer Technician will provide end user training, software and hardware support under the direction of the Manager Information Technology.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Requires a two year college diploma in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent.  One or more of the following certifications would be preferred:
o CCENT and/or Network+ Certification or higher
o A+ Certification
o MCSA: Windows 7 or Windows 8
o MCSA: Windows Server 2012
• Particular knowledge of the following is recommended:
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Adobe Acrobat
o Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems
o Virtual Server/Hyper-V Environments
o Remote Desktop environments
o Microsoft Active Directory
o Microsoft Exchange
o Wired and wireless routing and switching networks
o ESRI GIS technologies and GPS data collection devices
o Mobile devices and BlackBerry Enterprise Server
o NEC phone systems
o A broad knowledge of hardware and software programming
Minimum two years relevant work experience in a similar environment.

Salary: $51,380 - $63,095 (2017 Rate)
