How to Make a Deputation to Council

To speak at a meeting of Council or Committee, you must complete a Deputation Form and submit it to the Town Clerk to ensure that your name and address are accurately noted and you acknowledge Town protocol. Council Agendas are finalized the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting, and if a Request Form is received after 10:00 am on Wednesday or if the Agenda is deemed full, the Request Form shall be considered at the next appropriate meeting. Council routinely refers matters to an appropriate Standing Committee for detailed review and recommendation back to Council and contact first with a Committee would expedite any process requiring a decision to be made by Council.

Council and Committee Meeting Schedule

Council meetings are regularly scheduled for the second and fourth Monday of each month. Where a Monday is a statutory holiday, the Council meeting would be on the following Wednesday. Meetings are held at the L.E. Shore Memorial Library unless otherwise noted. The Finance and Administration Committee regularly meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The Infrastructure and Recreation Committee regularly meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The Planning and Building Committee regularly meets on the first Monday of each month. Grants and Donations Program

The Town of The Blue Mountains Council proudly supports not-for-profit organizations serving The Blue Mountains through the Grants and Donations Program.

The 2009 Grants and Donations Program is currently closed. The program will open again in October 2009 for the 2010 Calendar year. An application will be made available here soon.
