Beaver Valley Community Centre:
The Beaver Valley Community Centre, located on 58 Alfred Street West in Thornbury, is home to many recreational opportunities.
The Community Centre includes an ice surface from September to March. The ice surface is frequently used by local teams and skating clubs, and has also been used as the centre for the NHL Officials Training Camp. See the Ice Schedule for games times. Throughout the winter Public Skating is offered every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. barring any tournament use. and is often sponsored by a local business or Community group so that everyone gets to skate free while the sponsoring business or organization is recognized on the Town’s website. To sponsor a public skate, please contact our recreation department.

The two rooms can be opened up and used together, accommodating 325 persons. These halls are used for many purposes including social events, fitness classes and card playing.
