Why is Proper Disposal Important?

Eliminating our society’s contribution to the buildup of human made chemicals and compounds is a corner stone to developing a sustainable society and environment.  Through eliminating the use of toxins and delivering unused hazards to the depot we can reduce the amount of toxins entering the natural water, soil and air environments.

Don’t pour toxins down the drain or into street drains and don’t put hazards into your garbage bag or recycling.  Use of the hazardous waste depot will divert materials from the natural environment and most of the material (97%) is recycled into new products.

Start a Hazard Box at home to keep dead batteries and other materials in one location until you have enough for a trip to the Depot!
