Stream-side Tree Planting Grants Available

Apply now for 2018 Projects

There's still time to apply for grants and technical support under NVCA's Healthy Waters Program

This program funds on-the-ground projects that improve water quality and restore habitat. Grant rates range from 30 – 100% for eligible projects. Farmers, residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to apply.
In addition to stream-side and wetland tree planting, Healthy Waters Program grants cover:

  • fencing, alternative watering and stream crossings to keep livestock out of waterways
  • decommissioning wells
  • upgrading to an advanced treatment septic system (within 30 m of water body)
  • and other best management practices

For more information contact Shannon Stephens, NVCA's Healthy Waters Program Coordinator at 705-424-1479 ext. 239.
The Healthy Waters Program is funded in part by Environment and Climate Change Canada's EcoAction program.
