A "sweet" way to spend your March Break! March Break Family Programs at the Tiffin Centre

Spend some time outdoor this March Break with a day at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation.

NVCA's “March Break Family Program” will run twice this year - once on Monday, March 12 and again on Friday, March 16 (10 am to 3 pm each day).

Tour Tiffin’s maple sugar bush and visit the Sugar Shack to see how maple syrup is made. Then try snowshoes and kicksleds, make a craft, see how far you can throw a snow snake, and explore the Tiffin forest with a scavenger hunt. If the warm weather continues, we'll trade the snowshoes and kick-sleds for birding, GPS and orienteering programs!

March Break Family Days are designed for the whole family, with activities suited for all ages. Admission is $7.50 per person in advance or $10 at the door. Children three and under attend free of charge. To register in advance, visit or call 705-424-1479 ext. 280.

If you can’t make it out on Monday, the Tiffin Centre is open Tuesday to Friday for self-guided sugar bush tours. The Sugar Shack will be open daily from 1 to 3 pm. No registration is required. Daily parking rates of $6.50 per vehicle apply.

And save the date - Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival

The Tiffin Centre’s maple bush is the star of the show at the annual Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival, hosted by the Rotary Club of Barrie and NVCA. This year’s festival runs April 7 and 8, from 9 am to 3 pm daily.
