Our Town, Our Plan: The Blue Mountains Official Plan Review

The Town of The Blue Mountains is currently reviewing its Official Plan, the key policy direction document for planning and land use in the Town.  The review is being undertaken to comply with the Planning Act and to conform with and implement Provincial and County plans and policy.  This review is also an opportunity to ensure that The Blue Mountains Official Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.  The updated Official Plan will manage change up to 2031. 

AN OPPORTUNITY

The current Official Plan was designed to meet the unique needs of The Blue Mountains.  The review of the Official Plan will be undertaken with these unique needs in mind. 

The Official Plan Review is an opportunity for The Blue Mountains and the public to engage in a meaningful way, by building relationships and promoting an understanding of planning, development and sustainability issues.  Through the review of the Official Plan, members of the public can choose to be involved upfront in the planning process.  As a result the public can directly influence the goals, objectives and policies that are contained in the Official Plan.

The Official Plan Review is an undertaking that will include and welcome input from all community stakeholders.
