Community Needs
Findings from our Public Consultation Process which took place in 2007, indicate that our residents see gathering space & green building elements as two of the most important components of our new Town Hall.
A Gathering Space for Everyone
From the very beginning of the consultation process, it was clear that Town Hall must be a social gathering, multi-purpose and beautiful democratic space, a place which is inviting and welcoming to all residents and visitors of our Town and be accessible to all.
Our new Town Hall Project is has built space to serve the needs of community residents. Our community needs are changing and there is a need to renew and restore a space for the public to meet, to gather and to share.
Public gathering spaces bring members of a community together. Town Hall serves as a space for people to come to meet, mingle and discuss ideas. It encourages people to get involved in their community and learn about civic activity and events.
The space adheres to our Sense of Place and is an integral component of downtown revitalization. It is a source of civic pride. It celebrates our history and keeps pace with our needs now and will do the same 50 years from now.
