The Blue Mountains is responsible for delivering municipal water and wastewater services to connecting properties.

If you are looking for information on privately owned well and septic systems, The Grey Bruce Health Unit is responsible for managing these systems. Please visit their website at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca.

Connecting to Water and Wastewater Services

Water Service Shut-off

Water Service Shut-off will incur a $50 fee unless due to an emergency.  To have your water service shut-off, contact 519-599-3131 x223.

Locating Water and Wastewater Services Before You Dig

If you require a water or wastewater locate, contact Ontario One Call on-line or by phone at 1-800-400-2255. If you require any additional support or have questions about the Ontario One Call Service, please contact the Water & Wastewater Operations Assistant by phone at (519) 599-3131 Ex. 284, by fax at (519) 599-7723 or by e-mail at locates@thebluemountains.ca.

Within a few days of your request, a crew will be out to mark where the service meets your property line. This is a free service.

Please note that locates are only valid for 30 days from the day they are performed by the Operators. After this 30 day period has expired, new locates are required in order to ensure locates are as accurate as possible.

Be sure to check with all local Utilities before proceeding with your plans.
