Taoist Tai Chi Beginner Class

Taoist Tai Chi arts™ BEGINNER CLASS  starting at the Beaver Valley Community Centre in Thornbury on Wednesday, January 15 from 9-11 am. Taoist Tai Chi™ arts are proven to benefit balance, strength, flexibility & circulation, as well as to improve over-all health & well-being of body, mind & spirit. Participants in a 16-week beginner session are introduced to a set of 108 gentle movements that are the foundation of Taoist Tai Chi™ arts. Registration first day of class.

Taoist Tai Chi Arts Continuing Class

Taoist Tai Chi arts are based on a set of 108 movements and proven to benefit balance, strength, flexibility & circulation, as well as to improve over-all health & well-being of body, mind & spirit.

Weekly classes in Thornbury are Wednesday from 10 am-noon at the Beaver Valley Community Centre.

Special annual rates for seniors. Members may join classes in 26 different countries at no extra charge. Beginner classes start frequently.

Taoist Tai Chi arts HEALTH RECOVERY CLASS

Health Recovery Classes make use of the Taoist Tai Chi arts to help alleviate the symptoms of chronic illness or injury. Through regular practice, participants will gain better balance, strength, flexibility and circulation, as well as a sense of relaxation and well being. Classes are offered on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 at the Lora Bay Rec Centre. Come and check it out!

iPad Security & Healthy Practices

Keep your iPad healthy! Learn about viruses, security breaches and dealing with multiple passwords. To take this class you must have already taken iPad Basics, or get prior approval from library staff. Maximum registration is 6 people. Instructor: Darrell Noseworthy. The cost for this program is $15 upon registration. Please visit or call the Library to make payment. The library accepts cash, debit, cheque, Visa and Mastercard. Note: Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a refund.

Adult Skating

Adult skating is available at the Beaver Valley Community Centre Arena for participants who are 16 years of age or older at a cost of $3.00 per skater.

Helmets are not mandatory, but are strongly recommended for all skaters.

Meghan Patrick

Meghan Patrick Wed Mar 11 8pm $50/55 Meghan Patrick is one of the most exciting country artists today.

In addition to her two year reign as the CCMA Female Artist of the Year, Meghan has been nominated for 8 CCMA awards including Album of the Year nominations for both of her studio albums. She recently received Juno Award nominations for Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist. Patrick released her sophomore album Country Music Made Me Do It in 2018 to great fanfare.

The first single from the album, also titled “Country Music Made Me Do It” reached the Top 5, while the most recent single “Wall Come Down” rocketed to the #1 spot on the country radio charts and “The Bad Guy” was a Top 15 hit. Presented by Meaford Hall. www.meghanpatrickmusic.com
