Story Time- Stuffed Animal Sleep Over

Location: L.E. Shore Memorial Library (Story Tower) - 173 Bruce Street South, Thornbury

Join us in the Story Tower for our Stuffed Animal Sleep Over Story Time. Remember to bring in your favourite stuffie with you for all the songs we will sing and all the books we will read. Once Story Time is over you can leave your stuffed animals here in the Story Tower for their very own sleep over. Remember to pick them up the following day. The staff here at the L.E. Shore library will try to sneak some pictures of your furry friends having fun. Check them out on our Blue Mountains Public Library Face Book page. Ages 0 and up. Drop in. Free Event

Spinal Health at the Library

Join instructor, Joanne Pineau, HBSc., C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, a highly skilled and experienced Yoga Therapist based in Thornbury for this free workshop. Learn how to sit, bend and lift pain-free. Learn effective exercises to improve muscle tone and release tension and pain in the neck, shoulders and low back. This is an experiential workshop so dress in comfortable clothing. We will do the exercises sitting in chairs and standing. Limit of 25 participants. Jazz at the Library

Location: L.E. Shore Memorial Library - 173 Bruce Street South, Thornbury

The new wave in Canadian Jazz is represented by two of the most prominent young jazz musicians in the country. William Sperandei on trumpet and Alison Young on tenor sax will be performing at the L.E.Shore Memorial Library in Thornbury on Friday September 20, 2019 at 7:30pm. After recommendation by Wynton Marsalis, William studied at the University of New Orleans under Ellis Marsalis and Alison was chosen as one of the "Best 35 Canadian Jazz Artists under 35" by the CBC. Two rising stars at only the beginning of their illustrious careers. Joining them will be Andy Harasymczuk on guitar, jack McFadden on bass and Allan Halford on drums.
