Parent and Tot Skating

Helmets are not mandatory, but are strongly recommended for all skaters.

A Celebration of Women and Girls

Location: L.E. Shore Library

Join us at the L.E.Shore Library on Thursday, March 5th at 7pm for a wonderful presentation, celebrating International Women’s Day, led by Rosemary McCarney.

Rosemary is the former Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva and the Conference on Disarmament, returning to Canada in October. She is past President and CEO of Plan Canada which is one of the largest international development agencies in Canada. After working with organizations like the World Bank, Canadian International Development Agency, the UN, and Street Kids International, Rosemary moved to Plan Canada, where she led the call for the International Day of the Girl and spearheaded the Because I am a Girl initiative.

Rosemary McCarney is also the author of:several children’s books: Because I am a girl : I can change the world Rosie the Red - Being Me Every Day is Malala Day Tilt your head, Rosie the Red The way to School Meet us in the L.E. Shore Gallery for this inspiring event, and let us all celebrate the power of Women and Girls.
