Curbside Yard Waste Collection starts May 6 and runs to May 30, 2019

Maximum 10 containers or bags per week. Pick-up occurs on your regular day of collection. No plastic bags.

Notice of Public Information Centre - Peel Street Preliminary Engineering

Dates: June 12, 2019 (6:30pm to 8:30pm) and June 15, 2019 (9:30am to 11:30am)
The formal presentation will begin at 7:00pm on June 12th and 10:00am on June 15th.
Location: Town Hall, Council Chambers

This important meeting will be held to review the proposed options for the reconstruction of Peel Street between Hwy 26 and Georgian Bay, host a question and answer period and receive comments from the public.

A PIC is an informal open house with Town Staff and Consultants. For the purposes of this PIC, Staff and Consultants will be offering information to you about the progress of design options for Peel Street’s reconstruction. Both Staff and Consultants will be pleased to discuss and answer any questions you may have about the options for reconstruction of Peel Street.

Community of Clarksburg Town of The Blue Mountains Master Plan Class Environmental Assessment The Town of The Blue Mountains is conducting a Master Plan Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to investigate opportunities to improve the water and wastewater services to all properties in the Clarksburg Service Area.

If you hate carrying cash but you still want to golf at the Tomahawk Golf Course, consider purchasing a season pass for $275 (including HST). 

Passes are available at the Town Office (32 Mill Street in Thornbury) or from staff at the Tomahawk Golf Course.  Each membership includes a blue Tomahawk golf towel that takes the place of a membership card.

The Town’s Outdoor Watering Restrictions begin June 1st.  Please contact the Water Department for more information.

Watering Restrictions

Watering Restrictions are implemented annually from June 1 to September 1

Stage 1 Water Use Restriction

  • Residents may water between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • Properties with odd numbered addresses can water on odd numbered calendar days
  • Properties with even numbered addresses can water on even numbered calendar days

Bridges 2 & 3 (6th Sideroad) and Bridge 13 (Heathcote Bridge)

The Town of The Blue Mountains is beginning an environmental assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act to determine the preferred method of improvement to address structural condition and roadway safety at Bridge 13 – Main Street crossing a tributary of the Beaver River in Heathcote in Town of The Blue Mountains. 

The Town of the Blue Mountains is also beginning an environmental assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act to determine the preferred method of improvement to address structural condition, roadway safety and ability to convey creek flows at Bridges 2 & 3 – 6th Sideroad crossing Mill Creek near the hamlet known as Little Germany in Town of The Blue Mountains.

The Town has received an Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications. The Town has deemed the applications to be complete however no public meeting has been scheduled to-date.

The purpose of these applications is to consider a development proposal for a proposed waterski wakeboard cable park and associated buildings and structures.
