The Town has brought forth a complete application for a proposed Official Plan Amendment. The purpose of the application is to amend the Short-Term Accommodation policies of Section B2.5 of Town of The Blue Mountains Official Plan 2016, as amended. The proposed amendment was drafted following a Council resolution to further restrict the potential to add new Short-Term Accommodation units outside of the current exception area.
The proposed changes include restructuring of existing policies for clarity, formal recognition of the licensing requirement for short-term accommodation operation, and restriction of new short-term accommodation uses to the established Exception Area.
