Pickleball has become an extremely popular sport for residents in The Blue Mountains. The newly constructed pickleball courts located at the Tomahawk Recreation Complex features four outdoor pickleball courts. Three of the courts are available to local clubs for rental, with the fourth court available on a first-come-first-served basis for public use.

What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton size court with a whiffle ball, about the size of a tennis ball; and a solid smooth surface, short handled paddle larger than a ping pong paddle. The game is easy to learn and you do not have to be a great athlete to play.
Where Can I Play in The Blue Mountains?
There are a number of independent Pickleball groups offering programs out of the Beaver Valley Community Centre (Large Hall) in Thornbury.
