What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton size court with a whiffle ball, about the size of a tennis ball; and a solid smooth surface, short handled paddle larger than a ping pong paddle. The game is easy to learn and you do not have to be a great athlete to play.

Where Can I Play in The Blue Mountains?

The Town has four outdoor courts at the Municipal Recreation Complex. Indoor Pickleball is available at the Beaver Valley Community Centre year-round and on the arena floor during the summer.

There are a number of independent Pickleball groups offering programs out of the Beaver Valley Community Centre (Large Hall) in Thornbury.

For more information, please contact Thornbury Pickleball or visit Pickleball Association of Ontario.
