When is my garbage day?

Recycling Bin

Your garbage and recycling day may vary based on your home’s location. It is important to have your garbage, recycling, and organics curbside and ready for pickup by 7:00 a.m. on the day of your collection.

What should I know about property taxes?

Property Tax Bills are mailed twice each year, with four billing due dates through the year. Property taxes help provide crucial resident services in the community including water treatment services, infrastructure repairs, construction projects and more.

Does the Town offer resident parking passes?

Residents of the Town of The Blue Mountains are permitted to park for free at dedicated parking locations in the municipality. Residents can register their vehicles online or at Town Hall for free parking.

Does the Town offer public transportation services?

Grey County provides public transit services from the Town to Owen Sound, as well as routes throughout Grey County. The Town has also partnered with the Town of Collingwood to provide services to the Craigleith area.

What recreational programs and opportunities are available?

The Beaver Valley Area & Community Centre, Tomahawk Recreational Complex and the Thornbury Harbour are all owned and operated by the Town and provide recreation options for all ages and abilities.

Where can I learn more about beaches, parks and trails?

Located along the ridged landscape of the Niagara Escarpment and on the sparkling shores of Georgian Bay, the Town is home to 285km of trails, 17 acres of park space, 165 acres of open public space, and 48 acres of waterfront.

Where can I find the public library?

The Blue Mountains Public Library operates out of the L.E. Shore Memorial Library building, with the Craigleith Heritage Depot serving as a smaller branch of the public library and includes a museum.

How can I engage with the Town?
