The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to announce that construction on the Thornbury Pier is complete, and that the area has reopened for public use.
“We’re extremely happy to see this project wrap up, and to welcome our community and visitors back to the Pier,” stated Director of Community Services, Ryan Gibbons. “This project has endured a number of ups and downs since construction began, but we’re thrilled with the end result.”
The Town would like to remind the public that the Pier will close for the season at the end of October, as weather conditions begin to create unsafe conditions. Regrading and smoothing of the parking area is set to be completed in the spring of 2022.
Once again, the Town would like to thank all residents for their patience and understanding throughout this project.
