July 23, 2026 - Progress update and schedule change for Red Wing Bridge
The 11th Line and 6th Line Bridges remain closed as Arnott Construction continues rehabilitation work at these sites. Arnott has also mobilized a crew to begin work on the 12th Sideroad Bridge. The 12th Sideroad between Grey Road 2 and 10th Line will remain open with temporary single lane closures as required. Work at all three of these sites is currently expected to be completed late in the first full week of August, pending material availability and weather conditions. Arnott has also adjusted their schedule and plan to complete work on the 10th Line Bridge in Red Wing from Tuesday, August 4 to Monday, August 31. The Red Wing Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic while this work is being completed.
July 17, 2026 - Road closures on 6th Line and 11th Line
Arnott Construction resumed work on the 11th Line Bridge this past Wednesday. The bridge is fully closed to all traffic to allow for concrete rehabilitation and the installation of a new guard rail. The closure on 11th Line is planned for three weeks, ending August 7, 2026. Arnott has also started work on the 6th Line Bridge, north of 12th Sideroad. This structure is also fully closed to allow for rehabilitation of the existing culvert and installation of a new steel beam guard rail. Preliminary work on the 12th Sideroad Bridge between 10th Line and Grey Road 2 is expected to begin next week. This work will involve lane closures with alternating single lane traffic. Please note that weather and material delivery may impact planned schedules.
July 9, 2026 - Schedule updates for 6th Line
Arnott Construction has updated their anticipated schedules for the rehabilitation of the 6th Line Bridge. They are expecting to begin work on Wednesday, July 15 with a full road closure in place until August 6. At this time they will be pausing work on the 11th Line Bridge. They expect to return to the 11th Line site on Monday, July 20 to resume work on the superstructure. Current anticipated schedules for 12th Sideroad, Victoria Corners and Red Wing remain unchanged.
June 23, 2026 - Schedule updates for 11th Line and Red Wing Bridges
Arnott Construction has completed rehabilitation work on the Slabtown Bridge, including most upgrades to the guiderail and end treatments. They will be on site one day this week to complete remaining guiderail work.
Arnott has also updated their anticipated schedules for the 11th Line Bridge and Red Wing Bridge. Due to delays on some in-water works in Red Wing, they now expect to start work on the 11th Line Bridge the week of June 29. The 11th Line Bridge is anticipated to remain open while work is completed under the structure, and then the temporary full closure will be put in place once surface work begins. Rehabilitation work on the Red Wing Bridge has been pushed back to September 15 to October 7.
June 12, 2026 - 10th Line culvert complete, Slabtown Bridge rehabilitation continues
Arnott Construction has completed work on the 10th Line culvert. For the week of June 15, they will continue with rehabilitation work on the Slabtown Bridge, including guiderail installation. Single-lane traffic control will be in place for duration of this work. Preliminary work on the Red Wing Bridge is planned for next week as well, including required tree removals. This work will be completed with single-lane traffic restrictions in place in advance of the temporary closure and detour which is tentatively schedule to be in place the week of June 22, 2026.
June 5, 2026 - Remaining work on 10th Line and work beginning on Slabtown Road
Arnott Construction will be continuing with work on the 10th Line culvert until Friday, June 12 to complete installation of the guide rail. They will also be continuing on schedule with rehabilitation work beginning Monday, June 8 on the Slabtown Bridge. Single-lane traffic control will be in place for duration of this work. They may also begin preliminary work on the Red Wing Bridge later next week with single-lane traffic restrictions in place in advance of the temporary closure.
