Working Groups

Working Groups have a specific task or initiative that Council acknowledges, endorses and recognizes as able to provide information, updates and reporting on a specific subject matter.

Conservation Authorities

Ontario's conservation authorities develop and deliver local, watershed-based resource management programs on behalf of the province and municipalities. The Town of The Blue Mountains is split between two conservation authorities.

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority represents a watershed of approximately 3,700 square kilometres. It's jurisdiction spans from the Town of The Blue Mountains, east into the Township of Oro-Medonte, south into the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, and west into the Township of Amaranth.

Other Boards and Associations

Council of the Town of The Blue Mountains established a not-for-profit corporation as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Town of The Blue Mountains to augment the supply of healthy and sustainable ownership and rental housing units in The Blue Mountains, with the goal of providing housing to moderate income working individuals and families locked out of the housing market. The Board is comprised of eight (9) Directors, two (2) of whom are sitting members of Council. The Town Council members of the Blue Mountain Attainable Housing Corporation are Mayor Andrea Matrosovs and Councillor Shawn McKinlay.
Blue Mountain Village Association (BMVA) is a not-for-profit, membership-based association formed to serve as a destination management, marketing, and membership services organization. The BMVA supports the Village by providing public visitor amenities and programming, destination marketing, community relations, and more.
The Town Council member of the BMVA is Deputy Mayor Bordignon.

North East Grey Health Clinics Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed by community volunteers to provide access to health care, build and equip two community medical centres, and recruit new family physicians for the Meaford and Town of Blue Mountains municipalities to meet the health needs of current and future residents.
The Town Council member of the North East Grey Health Clinics Inc. is Councillor June Porter.
