Short Term Accommodations

Launch of Cloud Permit for Short-Term Accommodation Licensing

As of April 20, 2026, the Town has transitioned to using Cloud Permit for managing the Short-Term Accommodation licensing process. Short-term Accommodation operators can now create an account to access the portal. Users who already have a Cloud Permit account will not need a new account. Only one account should be created per license holder or management company.

Apply through Cloud Permit

The Town of The Blue Mountains classified any property rented on a basis of less than 30 days as Short Term Accommodation (STA). On August 23, 2021, By-law 2021-70 was enacted to regulate the STA process, and By-law 2021-71 was passed to implement an Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) for infractions by licensees.
