At this time, no plans have been submitted to the Town for review and there are no active development projects for the lands known as Castle Glen. The owner of the development lands, Great Dale Major Limited, is currently undertaking a review of the drinking water supply of the lands. The Notice of Study Addendum Commencement is available for viewing.

The Castle Glen area is land within the Town of The Blue Mountains that has been designated for development. These lands have detailed Secondary Plan policies within the Town's Official Plan that must be satisfied before future approvals are granted and future development can proceed. Following a detailed process involving multiple stakeholders, agencies and public authorities, a detailed Secondary Plan was agreed upon in the early 2000s to guide future development within the Castle Glen Secondary Plan area. Section F1 of the current Town’s Official Plan contains those detailed policies that outline what studies and plans are required to be completed prior to any future development.

Part F - Secondary Plans includes detailed planning policies for the Castle Glen Resort Area.

Schedule A-6 forms part of the Official Plan and must be read and interpreted in conjunction with the text contained in Part F.
