Public Skating Prices

Ages 18+: $4 per person

Skating program times are subject to change on a week-to-week basis. 

Step back in time this fall at the Craigleith Heritage Depot as we explore traditional crafts and create toys and treasures inspired by generations past. Participants will discover how everyday objects were made before modern technology, while learning simple sewing, weaving, and crafting skills.

This month we will be making Felt Bookmarks. Participants will learn to blanket stitch, and basic embroidery. 

Visit the Thornbury Farmers' Market for a fun-filled day with many vendors to shop from, family fun activities to explore and and lots of food to choose from! The market offers locally grown food and other incredible arts and crafts from local community members.

Fallicious returns to Blue Mountain Village from October 13 to November 13! From seasonal creations and chef-inspired features, to prix-fixe menus and signature favourites, participating restaurants are offering something special, showcasing the best of dining in the Village. It’s a great reason to revisit a local favourite, try somewhere new or plan your next food-focused visit to the Village.

Our informal knitting club is open to enthusiasts of all skill levels, and we invite you to join us in our cozy and friendly space. All you need to bring are your needles and wool, and you'll have the perfect setting to knit, chat, and forge new friendships.

Representatives from Terry Dowdall,  MP Simcoe-Grey office will be on-site at L.E. Shore Library with a pop-up Passport Clinic.

Meet us in the Story Tower at L.E. Shore Library for a fun and interactive Story Time on Fridays at 11:00am. Join us for stories, rhymes, movement, songs, and lots of FUN!

Kids Can Sew is Back!

This October, we’re getting creative and giving an old sweater a brand-new life! Join us to upcycle an old sweater into your very own cozy toque while learning some basic hand-sewing skills along the way. All supplies are provided, so just bring your creativity!

Whether you're an experienced writer or simply looking for inspiration, The Blue Pen is a welcoming monthly writing group where creativity comes first. Through fun prompts, writing exercises, and supportive discussion, participants are encouraged to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), explore new ideas, and discover where their words can take them. Meets the 3rd Wednesday from 2-4pm at Craigleith Heritage Depot 113 Lakeshore Rd E, The Blue Mountains.

Join Angela Yenssen from the Grey Bruce Community Legal Clinic for the final session in this three-part series presented in partnership with Beaver Valley Outreach and The Blue Mountains Public Library.

This session will provide an overview of estate administration responsibilities, including the role of an executor, key legal considerations, and practical steps involved in settling an estate. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the process and responsibilities that arise after a death.

Get ready for a little Halloween magic at the library! 

Join us at the L.E. Shore Library as Wendy Tomlinson from the Métis Nation of Ontario leads a fun, hands-on, multigenerational program just in time for Hallow’s Eve. Together, we’ll craft our very own witch’s broom—perfect for a bit of spooky season flair!

 All materials are provided, and no experience is needed—just bring your creativity (and maybe your best cackle ).

Calling all spooky spaniels and howling hounds! The Thornbury BIA is hosting its annual Wag-O-Ween, a dog and family-friendly Halloween event where costumes are encouraged for everyone. 

Meet at Smith Memorial Park (between Town Hall and the BVO) for a guided dog walk ending on Bruce Street South with a costume contest, pawsome prizes from Uptown Dog and Mud Puddle Pet Shop, treats, pup cups, activities, special guests and even a few treats for humans! 

The pawty continues at Thornbury Craft Co. for the afternoon!
