The Town of The Blue Mountains is excited to announce the launch of Your View, the Town’s new online public engagement platform. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to join the conversation by visiting https://yourview.thebluemountains.ca.
Your View, will give residents greater access to share feedback and opinions on Town projects and initiatives, as well as the opportunity to participate in community discussions, surveys, polls and fun projects such as photo contests.
Andres Paara, Chair of the Community Communications Advisory Committee, explained that “Providing the public with methods by which they can have direct input and provide opinions to important matters & initiatives within our community is a key part of the mandate of the Community Communications Advisory Committee. We believe that this new online public engagement platform will greatly assist in accomplishing this".
All responses submitted through the online engagement platform will be reviewed by members of Council and staff. The goal of the platform is to create an open and positive online environment for idea sharing and collaboration.
“The launch of Your View is a big step forward in how the Town engages and communicates online with residents” explained Chief Administration Officer, Shawn Everitt. “The addition of this new online engagement platform allows residents and stakeholders to share feedback and participate in a discussion from the comfort of their own home.”
To participate, users are required to register for an account. Registration is a fast and easy process that can be completed in under two minutes.
