On behalf of the Grants and Donations Committee, The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce that the Lobsterfest event happening this Saturday is now sold out with over 550 tickets sold to help support the local community.
All proceeds and funds from the event will directly support local community organizations, including the Beaver Valley Outreach, Clarksburg Legion, Marsh Street Centre, and the Town Grants & Donations Committee, which will further distribute the funds of community organizations in need.
Following all Public Health procedures, the event will feature two 100 person physically distanced seatings, along with the option to take your meal back home to enjoy. In addition, Member of Parliament Terry Dowdell and the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Industries, Lisa MacLeod will be in attendance to support the community fundraising initiative.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together in a manner respective of physical distancing to help raise much-needed funds for these community organizations. Lobsterfest being sold-out further reinforces our community spirit and commitment to supporting each other,” explained Mayor Alar Soever. “I would also like to extend my gratitude to the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit and our local health inspector for their diligent work in helping to review and provide guidance on the operational plans for this event.”
