The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that Top Hat Robotics will be on-site starting on July 5th to conduct sidewalk inspections throughout Thornbury. The inspections by Top Hat Robotics will be completed through pilot project that will assist the regular sidewalk inspections conducted by Town Staff.
To complete the inspections, Top Hat Robotics will be using remote-controlled robots to seek out trip hazards, cracks and other obstructions on sidewalks and walkways throughout the impacted areas.
Each robot will be accompanied by an operator and chaperone to ensure the inspections are conducted accurately and in a timely manner.
The inspections are anticipated to take one to two days (weather permitting) and will be taking place on priority and secondary sidewalks located only in the Thornbury area.
