The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that as of 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 Ontario entered Step Two of its Roadmap to Reopen. Step Two of the roadmap includes, but is not limited to:
- Outdoor social gatherings and organized public events for up to 25 people;
- Indoor social gatherings and organized public events for up to 5 people;
- Outdoor dining for up to 6 people per table;
- Essential and other select retail permitted at 50% capacity;
- Non-essential retail capacity at 25%.
During Step Two of the roadmap, the Town’s parks and trails will continue to operate as normal and remain open to the public. All public washrooms located in the Town will be open with enhanced sanitization measures in place. The Town’s athletic fields will be open and will act in accordance of the provincial and Grey Bruce Public Health Unit’s guidelines for return to play.
The Beaver Valley Community Centre Arena will be utilized by the Beaver Valley Outreach’s Daycamp throughout the summer months, and the Beaver Valley Community Centre will be used to assist Grey Bruce COVID-19 vaccination efforts, operating as vaccination clinics until further notice.
In addition, the Town would like to advise that The Blue Mountains Public Library’s L.E. Shore branch facility will be reopening to browsing on July 15th. The pandemic hours, through the rest of the summer, will include curbside access on Wednesdays and Fridays to support those who wish to continue their limited contacts; and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday open for full browsing. The Craigleith Heritage Depot will remain on curbside until the Step Three opening occurs. Library Staff will continue to monitor local cases and the impact of the Delta Variant between now and the proposed scheduled reopening. With the gradual reopening of services, the Town reminds the public to keep up-to-date on current Public Health guidelines before heading outdoors and to visit the Town’s COVID-19 Interactive Map for details specific to each outdoor recreational area.
