Town to Begin Trenchless Sanitary Repair Trial on September 7th

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that a contractor is scheduled to be completing trenchless sanitary sewer repairs throughout the Town starting Tuesday, September 7, 2021 through to Friday, September 10, 2021. Impacted areas will include Bay Street East and West, King Street East and West, Huron Street West, Arthur Street, Mill Street, Lakewood Drive, and the Lakeshore Pumping Station.

Residents are advised that there may be temporary lane restrictions while the work is being completed. No significant impact to traffic is anticipated. Due to the high pressure used in the inspections, residents may experience bubbling or noise in fixtures located on lower levels.

The trenchless sanitary sewer repairs are intended as a low-impact method for ensuring a properly maintained sanitary sewer system which helps prevent waterborne illnesses, promotes general sanitation, and safely discharges water to receiving systems such as Georgian Bay.
