The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public and nearby residents that the water level in the Beaver River is being actively monitored by Town staff and the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority to watch for localized flooding.
As of this afternoon, the water level is not causing significant concern, and it is expected that the water level will drop with the cold weather into tonight and tomorrow. As a precautionary measure, the Town is closing the Beaver River Trail from Lions Park to the Mary Street and William Street access points until further notice.
Town staff will continue to monitor the water level, and further updates will be posted to the Town website if required.
