The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to confirm that the application deadline is now closed to fill the vacant Councillor position for the remainder of the 2018 – 2022 term of Council. The vacant Councillor position will be filled by appointment during a Special Meeting of Council scheduled for Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
During the Special Meeting of Council, the qualified applicants will be invited to make a presentation to outline their experience and qualifications. Following the presentations, Council will make a decision to select the successful applicant, with the official appointment at a subsequent meeting. No formal election or public vote will be conducted.
The meeting agenda and presentation material will be posted to the Town website on Friday, February 25, 2022. The meeting will be live-streamed, and a recording will be archived on the Town website.
