June 21, 2022 – PDS.22.087
Staff Report PDS.22.087 was presented at the Committee of the Whole meeting on June 21, 2022. This report seeks an extension of the Draft Plan Approval for the undeveloped portions of Georgian Woodlands Phase 4 up to a maximum of three years and conditional upon newly outlined Draft Plan conditions. The Committee voted 5-0 in favour of the motion and requested that staff have discussions with the developer regarding voluntary participation in solving the attainable housing crisis in the Town of The Blue Mountains. This decision was ratified at the Council Meeting held on July 4, 2022.

June 10, 2025 - PBS.25.048
Staff Report PBS.25.048 was presented at the Committee of the Whole meeting on June 10, 2025. This report provides an update on the Georgian Woodlands Draft Plan, which was originally granted Ontario Land Tribunal approval in August 2010, and is now set to expire on August 17, 2025. With the Draft Plan Approval being older than 10 years, staff require Council decision to approve a Draft Plan extension. As such, staff recommend that Council support a three (3) year extension for the Draft Plan Approval, to a new lapse date of August 17, 2028, along with the inclusion of new Draft Plan conditions reflecting the Town’s updated engineering standards.
The Committee voted 5-0 to support the addition of the new Draft Plan Conditions along with the three-year extension to the draft plan approval. This recommendation was formally approved at the June 23, 2025, Council Meeting.
