This Friday, March 8th, 2019 is International Women’s Day. The Town of The Blue Mountains is proud to support International Women’s Day and to celebrate the achievements of women within the South Georgian Bay region and throughout the world.
This year’s theme is #BalanceforBetter, which represents that a gender-balanced world is a better world. As an equal opportunity employer, this theme holds true for the Town of The Blue Mountains. In total, the Town employs 41 full-time female staff of which 20 of those individuals work directly in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Local Women’s Day Event
To celebrate local businesswomen for International Women’s Day, a community event is being held at the Marsh Street Centre from 8:30am – 11:00am. Hear passionate and personal business leadership stories from four distinguished local business women!
