The Blue Mountains Fire Department would like to advise residents that annual pump testing for fire apparatus will take place on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30, 2026. Testing will be conducted by a certified third-party technician as part of routine maintenance requirements.
During testing, residents may see fire trucks positioned near the Thornbury Harbour and pier areas. Crews will be drawing water from the harbour and discharging it back while operating the pumps at full capacity to confirm they are functioning properly.
Residents are advised that this activity is planned and controlled, and helps ensure firefighting equipment remains reliable and ready for use.
