The Town of the Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that curbside garbage and recycling collection will occur as usual throughout the holiday season.
Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas trees will be picked up the week of January 3-6, 2022 on your regular day of collection. Only bare trees will be picked up (no plastic bags or decorations).
Holiday Season Landfill Hours
The Landfill and Recycling Depot will be closed on Saturday, December 25, 2021 and on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Reminders for residents:
- Garbage, Compost and Recycling must be curbside by 7:00 a.m.
- Please ensure snow is cleared to access waste from the garbage bin
- All material placed in your garbage and compost must be bagged
- Place all used gloves, masks and other protective equipment in the garbage as they are not recyclable
- Bag limit - first bag/can is free, second bag/can must be tagged
- Cardboard is flattened, cut into 18" x 24" size and placed next to your recycle bins
- Solid Waste Disposal Site Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
