Rob Sampson, Chair of The Blue Mountains Attainable Housing Corporation, today announced the departure of Sharon McCormick, Executive Director, on July 9, 2021.
“We are grateful for the work that Sharon has done to establish the organizational framework for the Corporation and manage the key initial stages of development of the Gateway project. We wish Sharon well as she commences with a new permanent position in the regional community.”
The planned Gateway project will soon be the subject of rezoning and Official Plan amendment applications at 171 King Street East in Thornbury and the Corporation has the resources in place to manage this process. The proposal, which combines non-residential space with market and lower-than-market rental housing units, will serve needs not being met by the private sector.
