The Town of The Blue Mountains is excited to launch a 14-day shop local challenge to encourage residents to support local businesses as they reopen under Stage 1 of the Provincial Reopening Plan.
Starting on Tuesday, June 22 when you make a purchase at a local business in The Blue Mountains, you can enter for a chance to win one of 14 daily gift cards valued at $50. To enter the contest, please visit: www.exploreblue.ca/shop-local
The challenge aims to emphasize the importance of shopping safely while supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. All purchases are eligible, including in-store (where allowed), curbside, delivery and online.
“The past year has been extremely difficult for local businesses throughout the entire community,” says Mayor Alar Soever. “When you shop local, your money goes directly back into the community and helps to support local business owners and employees. This 14-day shop local challenge is an effort to help show our collective support as a community while also having a chance to win a small prize. I would like to thank all residents and businesses for their strength and dedication to our community throughout the pandemic.”
Participants must be a legal resident of Canada and at least 19 years of age or older to be eligible for the contest. For more information on the contest and to enter for your chance to win, please visit www.exploreblue.ca/shop-local
