Proclamations
WHEREAS, the Town of The Blue Mountains recognizes August 31, 2025, as International Overdose Awareness Day; and
WHEREAS the Town recognizes the goals of International Overdose Awareness Day; and
WHEREAS the Town remembers those that have lost their lives to overdose; and
WHEREAS the Town acknowledges the grief felt by the friends and family members left behind; and
WHEREAS the Town joins the International Overdose Awareness Day campaign to end the stigma of drug related deaths; and
THEREFORE I, Andrea Matrosovs, Mayor of the Town of The Blue Mountains, do hereby proclaim August 31, 2025, as "International Overdose Awareness Day" in the Town of The Blue Mountains.
