WHEREAS, the Town of The Blue Mountains commits to being a safe and welcoming community for all; and
WHEREAS the Town values those who are two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse and recognizes their contributions to our community; and
WHEREAS Pride Week is an opportunity for the Town to celebrate the progress made to recognize and protect the rights of LGBTQ2S+ communities, and to acknowledge that more progress must be made; and
WHEREAS the Town of The Blue Mountains stands strongly against discrimination in all forms and promotes human rights and dignity of all persons; and
THEREFORE I, Andrea Matrosovs, Mayor of the Town of The Blue Mountains, do hereby proclaim June 10 - 17, 2025, as "Pride Week" in the Town of The Blue Mountains.
The Town of The Blue Mountains will be flying the Pride Flag at Town Hall to celebrate and recognize Pride Week.
