The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched a public survey to receive feedback regarding potential recreational uses for the 130 King Street West property in Thornbury. Through the survey, the Town aims to gather input from residents on future potential recreational uses.
The survey will be available until Friday, May 2, 2025, and can be accessed by visiting the project webpage. Paper copies are available upon request by calling (519) 599-3131 ext. 266 or through pickup at Town Hall and The Blue Mountains Public Library.
The 130 King Street West property is 2.9 acres with two outdoor tennis courts. The survey asks respondents to share their vision for the property by sharing what features and amenities they would like to see considered.
“The Town is looking forward to hearing from the community about how they think this property should be used,” said Ryan Gibbons, Director of Community Services. “The full survey results will be presented to Council where the next steps for the property will be determined.”
Following the close of the survey, a Public Information Centre regarding the property will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Town Hall from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to gather additional feedback from the public.
The survey results, along with the input received from the Public Information Centre, will be presented to Council at the Committee of the Whole on May 26, 2025.
