The Town of The Blue Mountains has partnered with BSI Online to support the administration of the Town’s Backflow Prevention Program. BSI Online will manage backflow test report tracking and compliance notifications on behalf of the Town.
Property owners and managers who are required to participate in the Backflow Prevention Program will begin receiving notifications from BSI Online regarding annual testing requirements, upcoming due dates and compliance reminders.
Properties that may be required to participate in the Program include:
- Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) properties
- Multi-unit residential buildings and condominium corporations
- Condominium and commercial properties with irrigation systems or swimming pools
- Other properties identified by the Town as requiring backflow prevention devices
Property owners and managers who receive correspondence from BSI Online can be assured that it is a legitimate notification sent on behalf of the Town regarding their property's participation in the Town's Backflow Prevention Program.
Annual testing of backflow prevention devices must continue to be completed by a qualified backflow prevention tester in accordance with Town requirements. The Town remains responsible for the overall administration and enforcement of the Backflow Prevention Program.

About the Backflow Prevention Program
The Town’s Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control Program helps protect the Town's drinking water supply from contamination. The program identifies connections between potable and non-potable water sources and ensures these connections are either removed or protected with appropriate backflow prevention devices.
