Design Open House - Moreau Park Revitalization

With the support of the Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club and other community organizations, the Town plans to revitalize Moreau Park in Thornbury. Proposed elements include a new skate park for all ages and abilities, a year-round walking path, new plantings and an accessible playground. Come see the preliminary designs, ask questions and provide feedback at our Design Open House.

After 54 years of painting and 40 exhibitions in Canada and Europe, J. David Murphy reflects on the culmination of his artistic journey with a show at The Gallery at L.E. Shore — located in the region where he spent his childhood. This retrospective exhibition showcases a wide-ranging collection of his favorite works: impressionistic Northern Ontario landscapes, European urbanscapes, abstract pieces, and a few unexpected surprises. 

We invite you to the opening on January 10 ( 2:00-4:00p.m) to celebrate a remarkable legacy of artistic discovery and expression.

30th Anniversary Evening Soirée at L.E. Shore Library

Step back in time with Ken Haigh, the first CEO of the L.E. Shore Memorial Library, as he shares the story of the library’s creation in 1995 and the community effort that made it possible. He will be joined by current Blue Mountains Public Library (BMPL) CEO Jennifer Murley for a conversation about how the library has grown over the past three decades and what the future of library service in The Blue Mountains may look like.
