The Town will be recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Members of the community are invited to recognize the day by reflecting on the impacts of the residential school system, listening to Indigenous voices and continuing to learn about truth, reconciliation and healing.
Join local author Renn James (Karen James) as she celebrates the release of her second picture book, Gathering Wishes. Following the incredible community response to her debut, One Million Times I Love You, Renn returns to share the inspiration behind her newest story, a heartfelt reminder that the greatest wishes we have for those we love are nurtured through gratitude, courage, and the choices we make each day.
This fall, meet your local farmers and celebrate agriculture in The Blue Mountains! Tour local farms and learn about the work, knowledge and investment required to run a modern farm.
