The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to recognize today as International Firefighters’ Day and extend gratitude and appreciation to all current and past firefighters that have served The Blue Mountains community.
“On behalf of Council, Staff and the entire community, I would like to thank each and every member who has served or continues to serve as a firefighter for our community,” says Mayor Alar Soever. “Today provides an opportunity to reflect on, and thank you for the sacrifices you and your families have made while you were serving on the frontlines to protect our community’s safety and well being.”
The Town asks residents to take a moment today to thank and reflect on the sacrifices that have been made by all past and current serving members of the Town’s Fire Department and to celebrate their dedication to the community.
“I offer my genuine gratitude to our firefighters who continue to serve on the frontlines everyday, especially during these unprecedented times,” says Fire Chief Steve Conn. “Your relentless dedication to protect the residents and visitors of our community is inspiring.”
