The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of a temporary lane restriction. A single lane will be closed in the area of 210 Peel Street North in Thornbury on Wednesday, October 18. This is to allow Enbridge Gas to complete an emergency repair.

Private Drinking Water Testing Drop-off Location Opened at Ravenna Hall

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that the Grey Bruce Health Unit has partnered with the Town to open a well water sample drop-off location in Ravenna beginning October 13, 2023.

Samples will be picked up weekly from Ravenna Hall at 10:00 a.m. each Friday. Samples must be dropped off within 24 hours of the pick-up time. Sample bottles are available for pick-up at Ravenna Hall. Ravenna Hall is open for sample bottle drop-off or pick-up on Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Temporary Lane Restriction - Bayview Avenue - October 4, 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of a temporary lane restriction. The north lane of Bayview Avenue in Thornbury will be closed in the area of 131 Bayview Avenue on Wednesday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is to allow the Town's Water Division to complete a service repair.

Temporary Road Closure - 12th Sideroad - September 27, 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming temporary road closure. 12th Sideroad will be closed from 3rd Line to 609656 12th Sideroad on Wednesday, September 27 to allow the Town's Roads Division to complete maintenance work. The road will be closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles.

Bay Street East in Thornbury will be restricted to a single lane in various locations between Mill Street and Grey Street North from August 24-25, 2023. This is to allow a Town contractor to complete investigative borehole drilling.

2023 Street Inspections Upcoming Throughout Town

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that street inspections are scheduled to be conducted throughout the Town beginning Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

The inspections will be completed by StreetScan utilizing vehicle-mounted sensing technology. This system utilizes its technology to determine the health of each street and to identify road defects including potholes, bumps and cracking. The Town will use this data to identify and prioritize where repairs are needed.
