Leak Detection Work - Swiss Meadows - September 8, 2022

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of upcoming leak detection work being completed in the area of Swiss Meadows. Town Staff have recently become aware of significant water loss from the Swiss Meadows Private Water System, and have engaged a Water Loss Consultant to identify the precise locations of the leaks. Access to private property will be required to complete the detection work. When the Town has a better understanding of the exact location of the potential leaks, Town Staff will be in contact with homeowners to develop a repair plan.

Water Service Interruption at Cottages of Lora Bay

On behalf of the owners, 1382491 Ontario Ltd. & Blevins Developments (Cove) Ltd., the Town of The Blue Mountains would like to inform all area residents and landowners within The Cottages development that the watermain will be shut off from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm either Wednesday, May 26 or Thursday, May 27, 2022 to complete underground watermain works for The Cottages at Lora Bay Phase 5 project within the Cottages development, which is located at the southeast corner of Beacon Drive and Sunset Boulevard intersection.

2022 Wild Chervil Focused Pesticide Spraying Begins

The Town of The Blue Mountains is providing this notice to rural residents to advise that the annual noxious weed control program to manage Wild Chervil will begin Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Under the Weed Control Act, the Town is required to control Wild Chervil. The pesticide application will be conducted by a licensed technician and only applied to roadside areas that appear visually unkept and where there is evidence of Wild Chervil.
