Town Wins Water Taste Challenge at Georgian Bay Waterworks Conference

The Town of The Blue Mountains Water and Wastewater Division is excited to announce that the Town was awarded with first place in the Drinking Water Taste Challenge at the Spring 2023 Georgian Bay Waterworks Conference held at Deerhurst Resort on April 27, 2023.

Drinking water samples were submitted by five municipalities, and conference attendees voted for the best tasting water in a blind taste test competition. The Town was rewarded with a free one year membership in the Georgian Bay Waterworks Association.

2023 Sidewalk Inspections Upcoming Throughout Town

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that sidewalk inspections are scheduled to be conducted throughout the Town beginning Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

The inspections will be completed utilizing a golf cart by Cleancrete Cutting Ltd., to identify trip hazards, cracks and other obstructions on sidewalks and walkways throughout the impacted areas. Inspections will be taking place on priority and secondary sidewalks.

Updates to Paid Parking at Municipal Parking Lots for 2023

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of updates to the paid parking program and fee structures for Municipal Parking Lots that were put into effect through the approval of the 2023 Town Budget.

Parking Passes

New for 2023, the Town is introducing Non-Resident Parking Passes. These passes are available to residents of the Municipality of Meaford, Grey Highlands, Clearview Township and the Town of Collingwood. The cost is $100 +HST for each registered licence plate.
