The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that sanitary sewer flushing, cleaning and inspection work will be conducted throughout the Town beginning Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
The sanitary sewer mains will be flushed/cleaned using high-pressure water between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that Watermark Solutions Limited will be completing a comprehensive Leak Detection Survey of a portion of the Town's water distribution network in Craigleith throughout the month of October.
The survey will pinpoint leaks on water transmission, distribution and service pipelines, including hydrants, valves and curbstops. The data collected will be used to assist the Town's Water Department in fixing watermain and service leaks to eliminate water loss.
The Town of The Blue Mountains Fire Department is excited to welcome the community to their Annual Open House on Saturday, October 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thornbury Fire Hall – 496916 Grey Road 2.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that the LAURIN Group has been awarded the construction contract for the new Craigleith Fire Hall. The LAURIN Group specializes in institutional, commercial, industrial and multi-family residential projects, and has provided construction services throughout Ontario for companies including GO Transit, Hydro One and Canada Post. Contractors from LAURIN have arrived on site and begun preparation work.
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of a temporary road closure. Brophy’s Lane will be closed from Highway 26 to 143 Brophy’s Lane to facilitate the installation of infrastructure related to the 139 Brophy's Lane development project. The closure will be in effect from September 23, 2025 until October 9, 2025.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents who are supplied with municipal water that the annual flushing of fire hydrants and watermains is currently underway.
Residents may experience lower water pressure and minor water discolouration while this work is being completed. If you experience water discolouration, please let your faucets run until clarity is restored.
This routine maintenance is carried out in the spring and fall to ensure proper fire hydrant operation and water quality throughout the water distribution system.
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of ongoing intermittent temporary lane restrictions. These restrictions will be in place at times on Highway 26, approximately 350 metres west of Lakeshore Road East until November 1, 2025. This is to allow contractors to complete the replacement of a concrete box culvert underneath the highway.
