Lane restrictions will be in place on Jozo Weider Boulevard in the Blue Mountain Village from Feburary 10-14, 2025. This is to allow a contractor to complete the installation of dynamic signage on behalf of Blue Mountain Resort.

The Town of The Blue Mountains is reminding municipal water users of voluntary measures that can be taken to minimize the likelihood of experiencing frozen water pipes. Steady sub-zero temperatures can put uninsulated water services at risk, which could cause damage to your home or property.

The Town of The Blue Mountains has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) to complete a Wastewater Master Plan (Master Plan) for the Town’s wastewater collection and treatment system.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of upcoming temporary lane restrictions. Intermittent lane restrictions will be in place on Alice Street West in Thornbury between Baring Street and Lansdowne Street/Beaver Street beginning January 20, 2025.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to notify residents that garbage and recycling collection has been suspended for the day due to weather and road conditions. Please remove garbage and recycling from the roadside.

For all properties where collection was missed, crews will accept double the regular limit on their next scheduled collection day of January 8, 2025. Residents must have their waste to the curb by 7:00 a.m.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of a temporary lane restriction. The lane restriction will be in place in the area of 159 Lakewood Drive on October December 5, 2024. This is to allow Civica Infrastructure Inc. to conduct a sanitary mahole inspection. Access for emergency vehicles and local residents will be maintained.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of an upcoming virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) that has been scheduled to provide an update regarding the Bay Street East Reconstruction project. The meeting will include a public comment and question period.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to inform residents of potential disruptions related to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers strike that was initiated at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 15. Delivery of mail to and from the Town of The Blue Mountains is expected to be significantly delayed and/or stopped completely for the duration of the strike.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that contractors will be completing inline leak detection work on behalf of the Town's Water Division beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
