2025 Seasonal Closure Update for Town Recreation Facilities
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public of seasonal closures for the Municipal Golf Course, Pickleball Courts, Tennis Courts and Outdoor Public Washrooms.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that access to the Thornbury Harbour, Thornbury Pier and Little River Park Parking Lot will be restricted on Friday, October 17 and Sunday, October 19 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day for haul-out activities. During these times, access to the Harbour will be restricted to vessel owners participating in haul-out.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that the Municipal Golf Course will be closed for maintenance on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The temporary closure will help ensure that all maintenance work can be completed by Town staff throughout the morning and early afternoon.
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that a portion of the Beaver River Trail between Grey Street South and Arthur Taylor Lane will be closed on Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7.
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that poison ivy weed spraying will be conducted on the Georgian Trail during the week of June 16, 2025. The herbicide spot-treatment will be conducted by Eagles Weed Control along the sides of the trail where poison ivy is present.
Signs will be installed at each end of the areas being sprayed. Residents are asked to stay in the middle of the trail during weed spraying to avoid contact with the herbicide.
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that access to the Georgian Trail along a portion of Huron Street East in Thornbury is expected to be restricted on Wednesday, June 11. This closure is to allow for the decommissioning of a manhole. Trail traffic will be directed to the north side of Huron Street.

The herbicide spot-treatment will be conducted by Eagles Weed Control where Wild Chervil has been reported or is present.
