Temporary Trail Closure - Grey Street South to Arthur Taylor Lane

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that access to the Beaver River Trail between Grey Street South and Arthur Taylor Lane will be restricted from Monday, October 21 until Friday, October 25. Staff from the Town's Parks and Trail Division are completing work to realign portions of the trail back on to municipal property.

Temporary Closure - Thornbury Harbour - October 18 & 20, 2024

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that access to the Thornbury Harbour, Thornbury Pier and Little River Park Parking Lot will be restricted on Friday, October 18 and Sunday, October 20 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day for haul-out activities. During these times, access to the Harbour will be restricted to vessel owners participating in haul-out.

Little Free Libraries Join with Food Pantry in The Blue Mountains, In Celebration of Ontario Public Library Week

THE TOWN OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – (October 7, 2024): The Blue Mountains Public Library (BMPL), Beaver Valley Outreach (BVO), Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club, and the Town of The Blue Mountains are celebrating Ontario Public Library Week a bit early with the official launch of five new Little Free Libraries & Food Pantry across the community. 

The Blue Mountains and Collingwood Kick Off Collaborative Multi-Use Recreation Feasibility Assessment

The Town of The Blue Mountains and Town of Collingwood are excited to announce the launch of their Joint Multi-Use Recreation Feasibility Assessment (MURFA), awarding the consulting contract to Colliers Project Leaders. 

The Joint Assessment will assess the current and future recreational facility needs of residents from both communities and will also explore integrating library services into a multi-use model, as has proven effective in several municipalities across the province.
