The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched two public surveys to present and collect feedback on the preliminary designs for the revitalization of Moreau Park in Thornbury.
The General Survey covers how different elements will relate in the site plan as a whole, and seeks more feedback on items including the playground and other amenities. The Skateboard Park Survey specifically focuses on the area dedicated to the skateboard park, and seeks feedback from the users of that area regarding the specific elements they would like to see included in the conceptual design of that space. The surveys will close on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and can be accessed below or by visiting the project web page.
Paper copies are available upon request by calling (519) 599-3131 ext. 254 or through pickup at the Community Services counter in Town Hall.
Through this phase of public consultation, the Town aims to explore potential design options and to examine appropriate fit, scale and complementary programming uses. The input gathered will help inform future budgeting decisions and the overall phasing of the project.
In addition to the surveys, a Design Open House will be hosted at the Beaver Valley Community Centre on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Staff from Colliers Project Leaders and SHIFT Landscape Architecture will be in attendance with the preliminary design layouts for the park. All members of the public are invited to drop in at any time to view the preliminary designs, provide feedback and ask questions about the project.
