The Town of The Blue Mountains is partnering with TreeTrust TBM and the Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club to hold two tree planting events on Saturday, September 24, 2022. All members of the public are invited to attend or volunteer at the events.

The event will see more than twenty-five large, eight-foot-tall trees planted at two locations in the Town. The first tree planting will take place at Heritage Park at 118 Kandahar Lane beginning at 10 a.m. The second tree planting will start at 2 p.m. at Delphi Point Park located at 209233 Highway 26. 

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that the Municipal Golf Course will be closed on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for greens maintenance.

The temporary closure will help ensure that all maintenance work can be completed by Town staff throughout the morning.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that the Outdoor Movie Night scheduled for this evening at Lora Bay Park has been rescheduled to tomorrow night, Thursday, August 4, due to inclement weather. 

The night will begin with a live music performance from Brian Miessner & Friends at 8:00 p.m. with Back to the Future scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. Parking is very limited on-site and attendees are asked to park at the Lora Bay Clubhouse lot with a free shuttle service providing transportation to Lora Bay Park.

The temporary closure will help ensure that all maintenance work can be completed by Town staff throughout the day, following all Public Health safety protocols.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that the Municipal Golf Course will be opening for the 2022 season on Monday, May 2, 2022.

The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched a questionnaire to gather feedback from the community regarding the two new parkettes proposed to be included in the Thornbury West Phase 1 Reconstruction Project.

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that during this period of high winds, local parks and trails may become unsafe for users. Town Staff are recommending to use increased caution for the duration of the Wind Warning issued by Environment Canada. 

Please be advised that maintenance will be performed on the Georgian Trail on Monday November 15 and Tuesday November 16, 2021 between Georgian Peaks Road and Wards Road. The trail will remain open, but trail users are advised to use caution when approaching the area. The trail section will be signed during the maintenance periods.
